HDR photography

-HDR photography: (high dynamic range photos) capturing greater range of tonal detail.
Achieve successful results by: -taking at least three photos at different exposures of the same shot and merging them together. -using more traditional methods, such as many real-world scenes containing very bright, direct sunlight to extreme shade

-This image impressed me the most because of the contrast between the various leaves and the sky. The different colors pop out.

Abstract

original - texture with lines
original - shape with pattern
original - balance
 1. The flower is my favorite shot because the macro lens shows all the small details of it.
2. The flower shot shows the best use of the elements of art. The stems show a line path. The stems and petals also provide the shape.
3. The stems and petals are radially symmetric. The fact that they are both white gives unity. The stems are in the foreground and the petals in the background.
4. The filter on the shot of the building is my favorite because the lines emphasize the asymmetrical balance.

Grand Landscapes

1. In the third photo the rule of thirds is used. The sky is in the top third of the photo. The football field was emphasized due to this.
2. The photo is asymmetrically balanced. You can see the football field and bleachers are balanced but the photo was not taken from the center.
3. The photo was taken around 2pm. This was not the best time to take photos because it was very bright out which caused some shadows in photos I wanted to take.
4. The football field is in the foreground while the hills and sky are in the background.
Edge Burn
channel mixer

Lab color
1. The channel mixer produced the best result. It has the most contrast.
2. The desaturation and channel mixer were the best methods to produce a large value range.
